Hello, Trisha, How ar you today? I live in the town of Norcross, GA. Did you used to have a relative that lived here in Norcross in the 1970′s? I took my son to a Mrs. Yearwood’s home in the 1970′s and he and Mrs.’s Yearwood’s Grandson played in her home that day. I do not remember the Grandson’s name. My son is now 45 years old. Love your music and love Garth also. A big fan, Mary B. Warbington mcpeaches@comcast.net
[...] One of those recipes may be for a chicken-less pot pie, as it is listed as an example of Yearwood’s favorites on her official page. [...]

Just love Miss Trisha’s new show! She is such a great entertainer on stage or in the kitchen! Can’t wait to see today’s episode!! Love her perspective on country cuisine!
Trisha,
I just watched Southern Kitchen and my mouth is watering for fried chicken, mashed tators and gravy! You reminded me of my Mom and Grandmothers. All in Heaven now, standing around a kitchen table. Fine examples of Southern women with grace, charm and love. Their kitchen creations were artworks that expressed love of cooking and love for their family. Now, I am crying because I miss Mom so much. What I know of cooking, I learned from Mom. If it isn’t Southern I can’t cook it and if it isn’t Southern it isn’t worth eating! Thanks for the recipes and for sparking the memories of those fine Southern women God graced into my life. AND for the Southern Girl he blessed me with for a wife.
really enjoy your cooking show and hope you plan on making alot more. I record every show so I can rewatch them. I have ordered both of your cookbooks since watching you cook. just as you and singing goes together, so do you and a cooking show. Thanks for sharing this part of your life with us.
I have watched almost every episode. I love Southern cooking. Trisha is a delightful person. However, I am very disappointed in the almost total lack of vegetables in your meals. I think mashed potatoes were the only vegetable dish, oh, and vidalia onions. Even your quiche had no veggies. This is not a very good reflection of the vibrant tradition of Southern cooking– where are the greens? tomatoes? corn? squash? cucumbers? How can you eat a meal without any vegetables? It gives southern cooking a bad name to leave out anything not meat or potato or starch. This is not how people in the south who care about home cooked food really eat.
My aunt made your grandma Yearwood’s coconut cake and she and my uncle said that was the best cake they had ever ate. My mom and I are going to make it next along with the key lime cake. Can’t wait to try it. Love your show.
Loved the key lime cake! What a hit for Mother’s Day! Also, loved, loved, loved the blouse you wore in your family reuion show. I must have one…..care to share where you bought it? Thanks, love your show!

I’m impressed, I must say. Actually rarely do I encounter a blog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me inform you, you could have hit the nail on the head. Your concept is excellent; the problem is something that not sufficient people are talking intelligently about. I am very pleased that I stumbled across this in my search for one thing relating to this.

I watched your show today. Not only did the food look scrumptious, but the the canisters just blew me away. I have been looking for that color to redo my kitchen. Could you share with me where I might find such beauty?
I love the show. My Father’s family is from West Virginia and Mom’s from Kentucky. I’ve carried a lot of family recipes with me through the years but in watching your show certain memories are making their way back into my life. The BBQ chicken recipe was excellent. Just like my Daddy used to make. It’s just the simple flavors that we grew up on but are so dear to our hearts. Great job Trisha. I love watching. I also love your camo top! I’ve searched the internet with no luck. Any possibility you’ll share the name of the designer? Keep up the great work!
Trisha what brand of electric skillet did you use to fry you chicken on Food TV

Trisha,
I too love your show! I too have had such family role models of especially my Mom teaching me so much by teaching me how to cook and to show love for my family.I loved your show in memory of your Mom Gwen,my Mom has been gone for 14 years and I miss her everyday. I went on a mission to find the Hot Pink mixer you featured on that show. My dear Husband William and I went on an early Mother’s day shopping trip today and I found one at Macy’s but found out it’s called Raspberry Ice instead of Hot Pink. We had to order it but I can’t wait to get it in and start some new memories! Thanks for sharing your family memories Trisha…. Good luck with your show!
People often add too much salt in their recipes without realizing it until it’s too late, but do not worry. There is a way to fix this! Add two peeled and chopped raw potatoes to the dish, and then allow it to simmer for around 15 minutes. The potatoes help absorb the extra salt. For a dish that is tomato-based, just put a few more tomatoes in and let them cook until they’re tender. These will dilute the extra salt.,.
