Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks said "I do" on Saturday in a private ceremony at their Oklahoma home. Trisha and Garth exchanged vows before family members, said Nancy Seltzer, a publicist for the couple."They said it is the perfect Christmas gift to each other and they couldn't be happier," Seltzer said. more



Grammy Nominations Are In

Trisha was nominated for 2 Awards for the upcoming 2006 Grammy Awards. She was nominated for Best Female Country Vocal Performance and Best Country Album..

The 48th Annual GRAMMY Awards will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 8, at Staples Center in Los Angeles and once again will be broadcast live in high-definition TV and 5.1 surround sound on CBS from 8 – 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT). more

SHELTER FROM THE STORM: A CONCERT FOR THE GULF COAST special is now available on DVD from Fox Home Entertainment; and includes a duet between Trisha and Garth Brooks, "Who'll Stop The Rain".

A minimum of $5.00 from the sale of each DVD will go to the Red Cross and Salvation Army to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina. more

Trisha set to debut on i Radio Cell Phones

Billboard Monitor reveals that Motorola’s forthcoming cell phone-based iRadio service will feature channels fashioned around UMG country artists, including Trisha Yearwood.  iRadio is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2006.
 
An artist’s channel  might, for example, include tour dates, album release dates, new singles and back catalog. iRadio users, who will pay between $7 and $10 a month  for the service, will make their channel selections via their PC and then download them to their cell phone via a USB connection. However, iRadio content is perishable, meaning that once it is listened to, it is gone.

NASHVILLE, TENN- (Nov. 11, 2005) - The Grand Ole Opry’s historic Nov. 14 return to Carnegie Hall in celebration of its 80th Anniversary is sold out, but millions of country music fans will have the opportunity to witness that night’s performances next year when the show will be broadcast on Great American Country (GAC). The show will air as a two-hour broadcast on GAC in March 2006. 650 WSM-AM , Sirius Satellite Radio, and www.opry.com  will broadcast the show live Monday night, the first time an Opry performance has been broadcast or recorded at Carnegie Hall.
