Country music powerhouse couple Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood lent their sweat to help build houses as part of Habitat for Humanity's Jimmy Carter Work Project 2007, in which 100 homes will be built or rehabbed in and around Los Angeles by the end of the year for low-income families who otherwise would not be able to own their own home. WHAT WILL TRISHA YEARWOOD WEAR FOR HALLOWEEN?

Trisha Yearwood says that Halloween is quickly turning into her second favorite holiday, although picking costumes can be a challenge in her household.

Trisha tells Dial-Global that all year she and one of her stepdaughters with husband, Garth Brooks, had planned on going as Sonny & Cher. The problem? Over the summer, her stepdaughter has grown so much that the two are now about the same height. While it could change at the last minute, Trisha says they may go as the Blues Brothers. more

HEAVEN IS "UNDENIABLE"

Trisha Yearwood’s Big Machine debut collection, Heaven, Heartache And The Power Of Love lands in stores in just 16 days and the Monticello, GA native tells Billboard Magazine, in a feature running this week, that being a storyteller is her forte: "I love songs that tell stories, but when you do those songs, you become the narrator," says Trisha. "When you start singing, 'This happened to me,' instead of, 'This happened to her,' you instantly become a lot more vulnerable." Trisha is taking that same direct approach to the album as a whole. "Somewhere in the back of my mind, I felt like this album as a whole had to be undeniable," Trisha told Deborah Evans Price. "After 15 years, you've got to find a way to make people say, 'I know you've heard her sing for 15 years, but you need to hear this.' And that's a hard thing to do."

October 8th members of Trisha's street team were part of a special taping for Sirius Radio. The interview and performance took place in the studio where Trisha recorded some of her greatest hits including "She's In Love With The Boy". Trisha, her fiddle player Heather, and guitar player Johnny, played several songs for the intimate crowd following an interview with Kim Leslie. STAND UP FOR A CURE

Trisha Yearwood will perform at the 2007 Stand Up For A Cure, a benefit for lung cancer research for the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer City. We learned Trisha has embraced the digital music craze, and, it appears her mom has too: “I do listen to music online, and I use my iPod for pleasure as well as for learning songs for shows like CMT Crossroads and new songs for my tour,” recalls Trisha. “And I have ringtones on my phone too, but the funniest one is my mom’s. It’s “Brick House” by The Commodores! People always start to groove when my phone rings, and then when I tell them it’s my mom’s phone, they just look at me kinda weird!”

Trisha Yearwood’s video for “Heaven, Heartache And The Power Of Love” is already a Top 10 video on CMT. From the finished clip, you’d never know the video was filmed in 100-plus degree weather north of Nashville: “It was hot!” recalls the Georgia-native. “The good news is that I got to refresh in an air conditioned trailer between takes, so it wasn’t too bad for me. We wanted the contrast between heaven and heartache, and thought the contrast of a church and a juke joint would make the point. I love this video!” Trisha, whose Big Machine debut disc Heaven, Heartache And The Power Of Love hits stores November 13th, has just been confirmed as GAC’s Artist Of The Month for December.
